The Medical Assistant is responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and support to physicians. Roles and Responsibilities: Perform clinical duties in accordance with the scope of practice in accordance with NYS laws and regulations. Carry out all assigned clinical procedures for the comfort and well-being of patients, per practice protocol. Take and record the patient's vital signs. Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment and supplies per protocols. Assist physicians/providers with regard to clinical questions, prescription refills, test results, and other patient calls per practice protocols. Prepare patient's record for visit, as directed by physician/provider. Required Skills and Experience: High school education or equivalent experience Clinical competency in aseptic techniques, sterilization, practice management systems, EMR, and scheduling protocols. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with basic keyboard proficiency Physical Requirements: Frequent hand and finger use (e.g., to operate a computer keyboard). Lifting and carrying items up to 40 lbs. (e.g., boxes, equipment, IV solutions), with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to stoop, kneel, or crouch for tasks such as retrieving items from lower shelves or filing in low drawers. Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods, as the position may require. Capacity to operate job-related equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
