Cedars-Sinai's Preoperative (PreOp) and Post Anesthesia care units (PACU) total over 100 bays within the main medical center and Advanced Health Science Pavilion. Our perianesthesia nurses are highly skilled critical care professionals who care for patients as they are undergoing or regaining consciousness from anesthesia. They continuously monitor and record patients' vital signs, monitor for side effects and adverse reactions related to anesthesia and are prepared to handle emergency situations if needed to ensure patients' safety. As a Registered Nurse in PreOp PACU: Assume responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care within this specialty patient population. Provide and accurately document direct and indirect patient care services that ensures the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients in a timely manner Provide patient education on disease prevention and restorative measures. Provide administration of medications and therapeutic agents necessary to implement treatment, disease prevention, or rehabilitative plan of care. Perform skin tests, immunizations, phlebotomy and the initiation of peripheral venous access. Observe and assess signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to medications/treatments, general behavior, and/or general physical condition to determine normal versus abnormal characteristics and initiate emergency procedures when indicated. Plan and implement individualized patient care based on observations. Implements appropriate reporting, referrals and care in accordance with standardized procedures while providing care to special patient populations and patients with diverse cultural backgrounds. Qualifications Education Requirements: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN or higher preferred. License/Certification/Registration Requirements: Current California State RN License required. American Red Cross or American Heart Association ACLS and PALS certifications required. For RN III: Specialty Certification (i.e. CPAN) (external applicants may obtain within one year of hire). Experience: Minimum 3 years recent acute RN experience in PACU or Surgical ICU nurse experience in a high acuity hospital. (Note: one (1) year recent experience will be considered for Registered Nurse II). Experience in inpatient PACU strongly preferred Experience in primarily Phase 1 PACU Care strongly preferred

Job Overview The RN Case Manager will provide daily care coordination with concurrent review for patients in the hospital or Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) in person or telephonically. This position will also provide case management to patients who are admitted to the hospital and patients who may need to be enrolled in ambulatory case management. The RN case manager will be responsible for identifying (California Children Services) CCS cases, handling transfers, and retro reviews. Works as part of an interdisciplinary care team coordinating care and collaborating with social work, ambulatory case management, and Regional Medical Directors, Hospitalists, the hospital nursing personnel, and the physician in the clinic. The RN Case Manager will be expected to perform assessments and use the appropriate guidelines to ensure the patient is receiving the appropriate level of care. Minimum Requirements Graduation from an accredited nursing program. Current valid License as a Registered Nurse through the California Board of Registered Nursing; bachelor’s degree in nursing, or another health or human services field, with the appropriate licensure, is preferred. Experience in and willingness to be part of the multi-disciplinary team. Experience with physically or mentally impaired adults and/or the geriatric population. Minimum of 3 years of RN experience in public health nursing, acute care, case management, and/or home health care is required. Minimum of 2 years of managed care experience in case management with a focus on inpatient and/or outpatient ambulatory care is required. Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred. BLS certification is required. Job Description This role follows a hybrid work schedule; however, we can only consider applicants who will be able to commute to our Los Angeles work location a few times per week. If hired you must reside in the commutable area. Hybrid schedule is 3 days a week onsite, 2 days remote. Standard hours 8:00am – 4:30pm. No expectation around weekend work. The expectation of this hybrid position is a minimum of 3days on campus, which are variable to accommodate patient visits, investigator schedules, study needs, meetings, staff coverage, audits/monitoring visits or otherwise assigned by your manager. New staff are expected to be on site more frequently during training or assigned by your manager. You will play a vital part in supporting clinical research with Phase I investigators and the Neuro-Oncology Disease Research Group (DRG). This position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team while contributing to innovative therapies and patient care. The RNC II will take ownership of a wide range of research activities — from conducting detailed protocol assessments and performing intradermal injections, to educating patients, providing nursing in-services, reporting SAEs/DLTs, and supporting screening and enrollment processes. The Research Nurse Coordinator II is responsible for all activities associated with clinical study coordination, subject recruitment/enrollment, data management/integrity, regulatory compliance, project/study evaluation and interfacing with participants and family members. Coordinates the clinical logistics of the study, and works in tandem with the Research and/or Clinical Nurse who work to provide hands-on clinical care to research participants. Qualifications This role follows a hybrid work schedule; however, we can only consider applicants who will be able to commute to our Los Angeles work location a few times per week.
