Job Description We are searching for a Staff Nurse for our Woodlands NICU! This is our main Woodlands NICU posting, please check above in the "Shift Description" to see which shifts are available! We are looking for someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position you’ll provide quality nursing care to patients by assessing, planning, educating, implementing, and evaluating age appropriate care in a manner that incorporates family centered principles and cost-effective care. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in nursing or other degree in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement Current licensure with the Board of Nursing for the State of Texas or Nurse Licensure Compact and BLS certification are required 1 year of professional nursing experience The ability to demonstrate positive and appropriate interpersonal skills, good time and resource management skills, flexibility, strong oral and written communication skills, knowledge of unit-specific equipment, and knowledge of the nursing process, critical thinking skills, PALS, and interdisciplinary collaboration Previous NICU experience highly preferred! Job Summary The Wound Care Nurse is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients with wounds, ostomies, or skin integrity concerns. This role includes assessment, development of care plans, implementation of treatments, patient and staff education, and documentation in accordance with clinical standards and facility policy. The nurse acts as a resource and consultant to clinical teams regarding complex wound care management and best practices. Essential Functions Provides comprehensive wound assessments and collaborates with providers on treatment plans Implements and monitors wound care interventions including negative pressure therapy, dressing changes, and offloading techniques Coordinates care for patients with complex wounds and ensures continuity through discharge planning and follow-up referrals Educates patients, families, and staff regarding wound care techniques and prevention strategies Identifies patients at risk for skin breakdown and oversees implementation of prevention protocols Serves as a clinical resource and advisor for skin integrity, wound management, and product utilization Participates in performance improvement initiatives and monitors outcomes related to wound care Maintains documentation according to regulatory and organizational standards Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to ensure integrated care Provides input on wound care supplies and equipment Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations Demonstrated clinical expertise in wound and skin care Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills Knowledge of evidence-based practices in wound healing Ability to educate and mentor staff on wound care protocols Proficient in EMR systems and documentation Capable of lifting 50 lbs and performing physical tasks required in patient care Populations Served: Adolescents (12-17 years), Adults (18-64 years), Geriatrics (65+ years) Protected Health Information: Access to complete medical records including clinical and demographic data Qualifications Education Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, diploma, or BSN) Licenses/Certifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within time frame required by facility policy Wound care certification preferred or willingness to obtain per facility policy Experience Minimum of two years of nursing experience in acute care, skilled nursing, outpatient, or home health settings Experience in wound care preferred

Job Summary and Qualifications The Stroke Coordinator coordinates the clinical aspects of the stroke program and leads the Nursing teams that provide immediate care to patients who suffer sudden onset or progression of symptoms of stroke. Acts as a liaison to the community for the stroke center by providing and organizing education awareness of signs and symptoms of stroke, current medical treatments, risk factors, preventions and rehabilitation services. Develop educational programs for nurses, clinical staff, physicians, and EMS. Facilitates physician collaboration and utilizes an interdisciplinary approach to stroke care to improve patient outcomes in a cost-effective manner. Participate in the collection and monitoring of data for quality improvement of patient care. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. JOB FUNCTIONS: Provides evidence of current required license or certification as outlined in job description Demonstrates the knowledge to utilize required computer hardware/software in order perform job responsibilities and uses computer equipment/software for business purposes only Serves, in conjunction with the Stroke Center Medical Director, as Co-Chairperson of the Stroke Committee; serves as a spokesperson for the Stroke Center. Coordinates and attends monthly Stroke Committee meetings Assists in the development of a strategic plan for the growth of stroke services. Networks and cultivates effective support from the medical staff, community, professional organizations, hospital staff, and other agencies and individuals who can provide referrals and support for the Stroke Center Assures compliance with Stroke Center accreditation criteria. Performs other duties necessary for the operation of the Stroke Center.
