Medical Assistant I- Pain Management

Description About CLS Health CLS Health is a growing healthcare system in Houston, Texas that is taking a different approach to healthcare. We are Looking for: Someone who is an experienced Medical Assistant for a multispecialty medical practice. The medical assistant should perform a supportive role in delivering comprehensive care to the patient that is safe, effective, and efficient. Responsibilities: Rooming the patient Interview/update patient’s chief complaint, medical history, medication list, and take vitals. Prepares patient charts a week in advance and verifies benefits reports. Prepares patient charts a week in advance. Scanning documents to appropriate patient charts. Makes sure all rooms are stocked and clean before clinic, after each patient, and at the end of the day. Refill patient medications as directed by a physician and obtain Pre-Authorization/Determination for medications. Ensures that physician is in-network and authorized/up-to-date referral is in the patient's chart. Assist the physician in the exam room with any wound care and/or procedures. Follow up on calls/voicemails and document phone log/conversation Educates and informs the patient of any DI, labs, referrals, and procedures physicians might have ordered. Schedules patients for upcoming appointments after the physician sees the patient. Obtains authorization prior to sending any orders when needed. Main fax line– Distribute faxes to appropriate team member(s) Travel to other CLS Health Locations Performs related duties as required. Position Overview We are seeking a motivated IT Intern to assist with general IT operations while supporting automation initiatives within our technology environment. This role provides hands-on experience with IT infrastructure, device management, system monitoring, and automation platforms such as Home Assistant. The intern will work closely with the IT team to help design, implement, and maintain automation workflows that improve efficiency and monitoring across systems and connected devices. This internship is ideal for individuals interested in gaining practical experience in IT operations, automation, and emerging technologies such as IoT and smart infrastructure. We are Looking for: We are looking for a professional and courteous Patient Service Representative to join our Dermatology clinic located at 2211 Norfolk St. Houston TX 77098 . As the first point of contact for our patients, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, coordinating financial responsibilities, and ensuring that our patients have a positive experience when they visit our facility. Responsibilities: Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner Verify patient information, including insurance coverage and personal information Collect co-pays and other fees from patients at the time of service Ensure the referrals are in the patient's chart before the patient comes in Maintain patient records and ensure that they are accurate and up to date Count cash box and complete cash reconciliation forms.
