TCU and the Emergency Department (ED) are collaborating using a new split flow model. The split flow model allows emergency services to continue delivering care to arriving patients while the newly admitted patient is handed off to the TCU RN. the TCU is imbedded in and adjacent to the ED. Sign on Bonus $5,000 hiring bonus with 1 year commitment with Penn Medicine Princeton Health Schedule: 3, 7p-7a shifts per week with weekend rotation of 3 shifts per 4 week schedule. Key Roles and Responsibilities: TCU RNs + assistants are caring for patients who are waiting for an inpatient bed to become available. Patients may also be discharged from TCU if plan of care is completed before a unit inpatient bed becomes available. The patient’s plan of care and treatment will begin in the TCU.
