Our unit is a fast-paced, encouraging environment. We provide care for a wide range of patient needs, such as stroke, cardiac, and thoracic patients, to name a few. We assess patient’s NIHSS scale and provide treatment and education per protocol and treat Cardiac issues that may arise during their stay with medications and procedures. We do vital signs every four hours and hourly rounding on every patient. We work closely with Physical and Occupational therapy for our patient’s recovery and educate both the patient and their family members on what to expect after discharge. About the unit Welcome to 3 North Progressive Care. We are a 29 bed unit caring for a variety of adult patients. We primarily treat respiratory patients, but also manage cardiac, post-surgical, and patients with multiple comorbidities. All patients are monitored on remote telemetry. Our RNs are skilled to care for their patients and manage continuous IV drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Lasix, etc. We promote a collaborative environment and work closely with physicians, care managers, PT, OT/RT, and patient’s care partners to provide the best outcomes for our patients. Metro Infusion Center (Affiliated with Metro Infectious Disease Consultants) is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner for supervision and administration of infusion therapy on a 3 Days/week basis to work at the clinic located in Roseville, MI. Schedule: 3 days/week (24 hrs/week): Tuesday-Thursdays= Specific Duties: Place and maintain peripheral IV catheters for infusion therapy needs with ongoing assessment of IV site. Prepare medication for IV administration as ordered. Administer IV therapy via electronic pump with troubleshooting of pump alarms and/or administration via gravity/dial-a-flow tubing. Document infusion charting and patient message(s) in EMR system.
