Attend staff meetings, trainings, and complete all required certifications. Assist with photography uploads, appointment scheduling, and general clinic duties. Additional Expectations: Maintain professionalism, patient rapport, and sound clinical judgment. Understand and enforce OSHA, AAAHC, and company quality standards. What You'll Be Doing The Radiation Oncology Nurse is a licensed nurse who provides both direct clinical care and administrative/front desk support within the outpatient radiation oncology department. The incumbent is responsible for conducting patient assessments, documenting in the electronic medical record (MOSAIQ), assisting with treatment coordination, and supporting physicians in the delivery of safe and efficient patient care. In addition, the Nurse Coordinator supports operational workflows, including appointment scheduling, medical record preparation, follow-up on studies, and coordination of survivorship care planning in collaboration with the cancer registry. This position requires strong clinical judgment, organizational skills, and a compassionate approach to patient-centered oncology care. Clinical Nursing Responsibilities Perform and document nursing assessments at each patient visit, including: Vital signs, pain assessment, and brief history (reason for visit). Entry of findings into the EMR (MOSAIQ). Provide a clinical hand-off to the physician, summarizing the patient’s condition and concerns. Administer and document patient distress screenings at new patient visits using NCCN Distress Screening guidelines; escalate findings to the physician, social work, or supportive care services as appropriate. At the completion of treatment: Collaborate with the Cancer Registry department to prepare a treatment summary and survivorship care plan (ASCO Survivorship Letter). Review survivorship documentation with patients after physician approval, ensuring patient understanding of follow-up instructions and available resources. Provide patient education, counseling, and coordination of follow-up tasks as ordered by the physician. Administrative & Front Desk Responsibilities Greet, check in, and register patients in a professional and courteous manner. Schedule, confirm, and reschedule outpatient appointments in collaboration with clinical staff. Description The Assistant Nurse Manager is a Registered Professional Nurse with broad knowledge and skills who acts as clinical leader in the daily functioning of the unit and oversight of quality patient care delivery, in conjunction with, or in the absence of, the Clinical Nurse Manager. Description The Assistant Nurse Manager is a Registered Professional Nurse with broad knowledge and skills who acts as clinical leader in the daily functioning of the unit and oversight of quality patient care delivery, in conjunction with, or in the absence of, the Clinical Nurse Manager. Approves timekeeping for staff prior to entry or within Kronos. Approves overtime, missed punches and relays schedule information, and updates on a timely basis to Anesthesiology timekeeper. Approves vacation requests, enforces policies regarding absences, and follows appropriate procedures to manage employee attendance. 4. Manages staff development. Responsible for CRNA employee compliance with NYP and WCMC policies and procedures. Plans activities, recognitions, and training sessions to increase morale, professionalism and cohesion among the employees and students. Obtains accreditation of departmental grand rounds through AANA for CME hours. Understands clinical interests of CRNA staff and relays information to faculty making the daily OR schedule on an ongoing basis. Ensures smooth working relationships with OR personnel, faculty, residents and other teams. 5. Responsible for overseeing the educational programming and clinical rotations for Student Nurse Anesthetist training programs either directly or via delegation to a CRNA Clinical Coordinator. Acts as a liaison with participating CRNA programs. 6. Performs clinical responsibilities as needed.
