Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) 2 is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for a group of population specific patients for the department /unit, from simple to complex, with multi-system issues in a safe and therapeutic environment. The Telemetry Care Unit (4 East) is a team built on collaboration and dedication to the patients we serve. Patients on the Telemetry Care unit are under constant electronic monitoring. Our typical patient population consists of moderate-complexity patients who have experienced cardiovascular incidents like heart attacks, heart failure, or strokes and must be kept under close observation as they recover. There is a wide array of other conditions that also require close telemetry monitoring. The dynamic population allows teammates to enhance their skills in balancing patient flow and acuity management. You will be working alongside experienced Nurses and LNAs that are adaptable to complex clinical scenarios and maintain a close-knit team-based model of care. We succeed through our goals of serving patients and supporting our team. Telemetry nurses complete specialized training required to read and interpret telemetry data to better determine patient care. Flexible self-scheduling. Shifts are 12 hours in length, starting at 7am or 7pm. Weekend requirement. Education Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred.
