Job Purpose: To provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practices and regulations. Essential job Duties and Responsibilities : Nursing Care: Prepare and review medical records and nurse’s notes, and assess residents to observe and evaluate their physical and emotional status. Monitor resident activity, evaluate nursing care in accordance with professional standards, and provide nursing care according to physician’s orders, care plans, established standards and facility policies. Coordinate and assist or prepare for new admissions, transfers, and discharge of residents. Transcribe physician’s telephone orders. Communicate with Residents, family members, other interdisciplinary team members and management regarding resident status. Drug Administration and Documentation: Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician; in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies. Sign, date and perform all charting and record keeping in accordance with established policies and procedures. Direct Patient Care: Lead and monitor licensed and other professionals. May schedule job assignments and set priorities. Assist and coach as needed. Provide feedback as to their effectiveness; may serve as team leader in this function. Resident Rights: Understand, comply with and promote all rules regarding Residents’ rights. Other Job Functions: Care Plans: Assist and participate in developing and implementing a written care plan for individual residents that addresses the needs of the resident. Staff Development: Participate in in-service training, assist in implementing orientation programs and job skills training, maintains professional competence Safety and Sanitation: Monitor environment and care practices of nursing personnel to ensure compliance of established safety, fire and disaster, infection control and ensure all other departmental policies and procedures are followed; and to ensure cleanliness and safety of work and treatment areas Other Duties: Other duties as assigned Physical and Sensory Requirements (with or without the aid of mechanical device): Works in a climate-controlled and well-lighted environment.. Qualifications: Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing and currently licensed by the State. Experience as a Charge Nurse or supervisory experience preferred. Must be CPR Certified. Ability to convey, explain, or interpret complex specialized information related to long term care rules and regulations. Hence strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Ability to complete continuing education hours as required by the State. Ability to build and maintain relationships, coordinate plans, distribute information and develop a mutual knowledge base for effective implementation of state and federal rules and regulations. Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents, families, and government regulators. Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance. We want you to grow your career with us! About the position: The primary functions of the Behavioral Health Registered Nurse are to provide psychiatric evaluation and therapy to home bound patients. Coordinates care with the interdisciplinary team, patient/family, and referring agency; the BHRN also assumes the responsibility for coordination of care. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate School of Nursing. Must have 1-2 years of nursing experience (within the last 3 years preferred) in an acute treatment unit in a psychiatric hospital, psychiatric home care, psychiatric hospitalization program, or other outpatient psychiatric service. Current state license as a Registered Nurse. Current state Driver’s License. Proof of current CPR and Hepatitis consent/declination. Director of Nursing - Medical Stabilization Unit- Days

Responsibilities The Clinical Director is responsible and accountable for the delivery of safe, effective, direct and indirect, patient-family centered care on the medical/surgical unit (s). The Clinical Director is responsible for initiating, guiding, and directing the coordination of services provided by the designated nursing unit(s).The Clinical Director functions as a resource person for staff members and provides necessary education & training, assists the Clinical Coordinators with competency validation and performance reviews of individual members of the nursing staff, assumes responsibility for the overall quality of nursing care provided by specified units, makes decisions regarding patient care activities in area of responsibility.
