Collaborate with cardiologists, radiologists, and the multidisciplinary team to optimize diagnostic efficiency and patient outcomes. Support and oversee ancillary staff to ensure safe, efficient clinic and imaging workflow. Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and imaging standards. Adhere to Upstate policies, procedures, safety protocols, radiation safety standards, and infection prevention guidelines. Assist with CT imaging tasks within RN scope, including patient positioning, contrast administration (if applicable), and monitoring. Recognize and respond to cardiac changes during imaging (e.g., arrhythmias, vital sign instability). Document cardiology and imaging-related care in accordance with NYS and organizational standards. Educate patients on cardiac procedures, CT imaging expectations, and post-procedure instructions. Maintain sterile technique and adhere to NYS infection control mandates. Verify imaging orders, support contrast administration processes, and follow NYS medication administration laws. Maintain active NYS RN licensure and required continuing education (including radiation safety and infection control training). Minimum Qualifications: NYS licensed/registered RN. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required. Minimum Qualifications: NYS licensed/registered RN (or eligible), Bachelor's degree in Nursing with one year of hospital-based experience or Associates degree in Nursing with three years of hospital-based experience required. Excellent organizational skills, critical thinking skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks at once. Exceptional customer service skills, verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team. CPR-BLS is required at the time of appointment.
