The desired Registered Nurses for this position will have 2+ years of clinical experience preferably in a hospital setting. Although not required, OCN certification and oncology experience are a plus. This position requires the flexibility to occasionally float between our 4 locations (Scarborough, South Portland,Biddefordand Sanford, Maine) from the home base. Offices are open Monday-Friday from 7:45 am-4:30 pm. There is a weekend rotation with each RN covering Saturday and Sunday about every 2 months. Summary The MH Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Care role provides high quality care to patients and families calling or presenting for care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and performs a wide variety of patient care services to assist physicians/advanced practice practitioners in delivering excellent care to patients of the practice. MH RN II: This level is competent in their clinical role and has demonstrated the ability to care for most patients assigned. Though not able to care for every patient type within their area of hire, demonstrates how to obtain the appropriate resources to develop required skills and knowledge over time. This level included automatic advancement after 1 year as a RN I – must be in good standing and meets RN I requirements. Our Pediatric Specialty Care Infectious Disease Travel Clinic and Nephrology Divisions are looking for a knowledgeable, caring and motivated RN to join our dynamic and growing clinics that provide care to pediatric patients from Maine and New Hampshire. This RN would also be providing treatment to children requiring transplantation and post transplant treatment. Pediatric Infectious Disease nurses provide expert care to children with or exposed to infectious diseases and provides vaccine administration to pediatric patients who are traveling outside the US and require travel vaccinations. Position Summary The ideal candidate will have experience in pediatric nursing. Preferred knowledge and experience in infectious diseases and nephrology related disorders/ diseases. A compassionate, patient-focused approach is essential for this role. Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for pediatricpatients and their families. Administering prescribed vaccinations and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques. Observing patient, recording significant conditions and reactions, and notifying supervisor or physician of patient’s condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
