Fair Labor Standards Act Status: Salaried/Exempt Hours per week: 40 Scheduled Work Hours/Shift: 3 to 12-hour shifts launching from Orangeburg hospital and then traveling to underserved area for the day. Patient Population Focus: Outpatient/Underserved Patient Population Age Range: 0 years-death (Family practice) Required Training and Experience Required Minimum Training : Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and currently licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physician Assistant or completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program and currently licensed or eligible for licensure as an APRN as noted below. Physician Assistant or APRN FNP (Family NP): (birth to death) chronic disease state management, primary care across the lifespan. The EmPATH unit is the designated destination for medically cleared patients with need for observation and treatment while awaiting disposition. The RN will work with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and assistants in a calming environment to provide treatment to adult and adolescent patients in need of mental health care.
