About the unit 4 South is a 35 bed Progressive Care Unit. Our unit is a fast-paced, encouraging environment. We provide care for a wide range of patient needs, such as stroke, cardiac, and thoracic patients, to name a few. We assess patient’s NIHSS scale and provide treatment and education per protocol and treat Cardiac issues that may arise during their stay with medications and procedures. We do vital signs every four hours and hourly rounding on every patient. We work closely with Physical and Occupational therapy for our patient’s recovery and educate both the patient and their family members on what to expect after discharge.
