Training delivery: Facilitate in-service sessions and education assigned by DCS; track completion and retention of key practices. Other branch support: Perform additional tasks assigned by the DCS/ADCS/Regional Leadership to meet patient care and operational needs. We are hiring Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Assisted Living and/or new Memory Care building. Part-Time 7A-3P and 3P-11P Hybrid Schedule Please indicate which shift you prefer. LPN provides direct nursing care to the Memory Care residents and supervises day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants in accordance with state and federal standards that govern our facility. LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster Services and its communities. 1. Assist with the evaluation of resident's needs. 2. Assist with planning resident care based on MD orders. 3. Implement resident care based on MD orders. Evaluate care and communicate with MD for updates of orders (PRN). 4. Ensure that residents receive their medicine at the prescribed time by the MD order. 5. Monitor blood glucose, temperature and blood pressure. 6. Assist residents with Daily Living Activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transfer, ambulation, toileting and other resident needs. 7. Ensure that CNAs are following MD Orders. LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS : Education: Must be currently licensed in the State of Florida as a Licensed Practical Nurse; Must be CPR Certified Experience and Basic Knowledge: One year of long-term care desirable. This position provides assigned residents with routine daily nursing care in accordance with nursing care procedures and as directed by the Supervisor. This individual will preserve resident's dignity, honor resident rights, provide good customer service, communicate appropriately and adhere to federal and state compliance regulations. PART-TIME 11PM - 7AM EOW CNA/MED TECH ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1) Assist patients/residents with Daily Living Activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transfer, ambulation, toileting and other resident needs. 2) Ensure the following tasks are completed on a daily basis; beds are made; trash has been removed from the room, that meals are served to residents and maintain a high level of hygiene in the room. 3) Taking vital signs and reporting observations and any change in condition to the nurse. 4) Practice Infection Prevention and Control measures in compliance with Federal, State and Facility requirements. 5) Document in CNA ECS flow-sheet timely, accurately and completely. 6) Make routine and frequent rounds and ensure those safety precautions/equipment are in place and in working order. 7) Avoid development of skin problems or skin breakdown by providing timely incontinent care and frequent repositioning residents that need assistance. 8) Assist the Activities Department with activities for the residents. CNA/MED TECH ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Must be certified nurse’s aide in accordance with laws of Florida. Medical Technician Certified Must be CPR Certified Experience and Basic Knowledge: Working with older adults in a healthcare setting is desirable, preferably a minimum of 6 months.
