The Nurse Extern will be paired up with a Nurse Preceptor for this 10-week program beginning May 18, 2026 , working (3) 12-hour shifts per week. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Operations The primary role of the House Supervisor RN is to ensure quality and efficiency in the assigned Patient Care Service units, on a shift to shift basis. The Supervisor will monitor and modify patient flow within the departments to maximize efficiency, maintain quality, and promote patient satisfaction. The Supervisor will function as the liaison between the Nursing units, all in house nursing units and ancillary departments. The Supervisor will adjust and allocate nursing assignments to meet the needs of the department. The Supervisor will assure the reporting, handling, and documentation of all patient incidents, variances in patient care, issues related to substandard quality of care, safety issues, and actual or potential litigation or media situations, occurring during their shift.
