Demonstrates knowledge regarding the cardiac and peripheral vascular disease processes and the appropriate diagnostic and interventional processes. Demonstrates knowledge of pharmacology including dosing, indications and contraindications of each drug. Ensuring the five 'rights' of medication are adhered to. Also assures that controlled medications are accounted for and recorded per hospital policy. Demonstrates proficiency in the use of all specialized equipment related to the Cath Lab. Verified physician orders and reviews the patient's clinical record for consents, history and physical, NPO status, and allergies prior to the initiation of any procedure.
