Certified Home Health Aides must be detail-oriented and be able to carefully follow protocols and rules regarding the patient’s care. Aides must adhere to instructions from doctors and nurses, such as knowing how to care for a minor medical issue or letting them know about changes in the patient’s health. They should be trustworthy and dependable so the patient and their family feel comfortable relying on them. Certified Home Health Aides should have the following skills and qualifications: High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred. At least 1 year experience as a Caregiver/ Certified Home Health Aide in healthcare (in homes or facilities). Caring Angels Home Care is looking for a bilingual Spanish RN HHA Instructor for our Office in Hicksville and Bay Shore, NY. As an RN HHA Instructor you will play an integral role in our day to day activities. Our agency has won numerous awards for employee satisfaction and patient care. Responsibilities: The instructor conducts training, in-services and competency evaluation programs for Home Care paraprofessionals in accordance with the New York State Department of Health. The instructor ensures that Home Care paraprofessionals are sufficiently knowledgeable and clinically competent to meet certification standards and tests trainees to evaluate effectiveness of training. The instructor reports on the progress of paraprofessionals under guidance during training periods. Qualifications: *Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Nursing is preferred and have current NYS license and registration to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
