Current AHA BLS certification is required for hire and must be maintained throughout employment. May draw blood and give injections under the immediate supervision of a Physician or RN. Reviews intake forms with the MD/NP/PA when needed to determine what services best suit the patient. Manages specimens that are being picked up and drop off. Chaperones when appropriate and assists during certain minor surgeries and diagnostic procedures (such as Hysteroscopies).
