Medical Assistant for busy cardiology clinic located at the Heart Plaza on the Healthplex campus in Norman.

Job Summary

Provides care to our cardiology patients by rooming, taking vital signs, verifying medications, answering phone messages, filling prescription, etc.
This will be for multiple physicians and requires standing most of the day.
This job requires that you have reliable car for traveling to satellite clinics.

Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited program in Medical Assistant Training or equivalent experience required.

Experience

Prefer at least one year experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room and/or a hospital setting that provides patient care.
Experience in office clerical activities desirable.

(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)

Licensure/Certification

Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.
CMA or RMA preferred.

Compensation/Benefits

$13.74-$22.14/hr depending on previous work experience.
