Responsibilities- The Student Nurse Tech (SNT) provides direct patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse as defined by the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.
- The SNT reports to the Director or designee.
- Provides patient care according to the Standards of Care defined within the Kansas Nurse Practice Act, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and the policies and procedures of SFHC.
- Supports and promotes the organizational priorities.
- Effectively manages department/patient activities in a time efficient manner to ensure the delivery of care is well-organized and proficient.
- Provides quality customer service to patients, families, coworkers, and other members of the interdisciplinary health care team to create a professional and respectful environment.
QualificationsJob Requirements:
- Must have completed first semester and currently enrolled in an accredited BSN RN program or completed the equivalent time and be enrolled in an currently accredited ADN program.
- BLS certification
- No prior experience
- Basic computer skills
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Preference will be given to prior work experience in a comparable health care setting
