Mercy Ft Smith -$162 million expansion of its ER and ICU. ER will expand from 29 to 50 rooms and ICU will increase from 38-64 rooms. The ER expansion alone will allow for about 25,000 more patient visits per year. This expansion will allow us to better meet the needs of our community in a world-class environment.

ICU Details:
As an ICU nurse working in the Medical ICU, you will be prepared and equipped to handle the highest acuity of patients. Our patient population consists of critically ill adults and includes exposure to CRRT, Impella’s, and Open Heart/CABG Recovery. ICU care is a team sport, so in addition to your fellow nurses, we have a dedicated Respiratory Therapist, Nurse Supervisor, Clinical Educator, Case Manager, and Techs to support nurses in giving excellent care to these patients and their families!
- Nurse to Patient Ratio: 2:1 or 3:1
- # of Beds: 38 (2025 expansion to 64 beds!)
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure.
- Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support Certification through an American Heart Association approved program
