Job Responsibilities
- Assisting patients in acute care facilities in surrounding areas
- Ensuring the comfort and safety of patients by responding to their call lights and requests, and by reporting changes in their condition to the nursing supervisor
- Taking and documenting patients' vital signs throughout the day, performing point of care testing (to include glucose checks when authorized)
- Ensuring timely and accurate charting and documentation throughout the day
- Serving meals and helping patients with feeding and hydration throughout the day and with other activities of daily living
- Turning, positioning, and ambulating patients throughout the day and helping them to transport them within the facility
- Respecting and protecting confidential patient information
- Abiding by professional standards, Joint Commission standards, and facility policies, and complying with all federal, state, and local requirements
- Ensuring career and professional development by maintaining licensure, completing required training, and participating in educational opportunities
Qualifications and Skills
- Active, unencumbered New Hampshire CNA license
- 2 years of experience in a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) — or related — role
- Completion of necessary state training and/or state-sanctioned competency exam
- Immunizations as required
- BLS certification from the AHA
