Job Responsibilities

Providing post-acute LPN nursing care to residents with varying medical needs
Tracking the vital signs, physical condition, and mental acuity of residents
Completing intakes of residents, including the documentation of medical histories and health concerns
Assisting with medications, including proper administration, verification, and monitoring
Keeping track of the medical records and charts of residents
Helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and pleasant environment for residents

Massie Unit under the direction of a physician or registered nurse. Minimum Qualifications Education: Determined by the Maryland Board of Nursing under the licensing requirements for Practical Nurses. Experience: One year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Note: Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Nursing classifications or Nursing or Health Care Specialist specialty codes in the Nursing field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience. LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS Candidates for positions in this classification must possess a current license as a Practical Nurse from the Maryland Board of Nursing.
