The Lead Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehab Nurse is responsible for supervising employees, in all phases of the nursing process in the Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehab Department. The Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehab Lead Nurse functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of Nursing based on evidence based principles. The Cardiac/Pulmonary Lead Nurse coordinates & directs care delivered by the interdisciplinary team and is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards and institutional policies and procedures. The Cardiac/Pulmonary Lead Nurse provides physical, emotional, spiritual & psychosocial support for the cardiac/pulmonary patients/families/significant others. Performs patient assessments, planning, implementation, education of patient’s risk modification and outcome evaluation of the cardiac/pulmonary patient. Develops & revises the exercise prescription plan based on the guidance of the Medical Director. Acts as a resource for the physician & other healthcare team providers. .
Graduate of accredited program of professional nursing required.
Licensure
Licensed as a Registered Nurse to practice in the State of Ohio
Certification
BLS certification required. ACLS certification required within six (6) months of hire
Experience
Two years clinical nursing experience with at least one year in a critical care setting required.

- Proficient at EKG interpretations. Excellent communication skills and able to work independently with excellent organizational skills.
- Basic computer literacy and applications for data entry and record maintenance.
- Ability to recognize life threatening conditions and implement basic life sustaining actions.
