Endoscopy Registered Nurse, GI – Per Diem, Norwood, OH

About the Opportunity:

Gastro Health is seeking a per diem RN to join our outpatient endoscopy center in Norwood, OH. In this role, you will provide exceptional patient care during endoscopic procedures. Your responsibilities include preparing patients, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining a sterile environment. Collaborating with the healthcare team, you will educate patients, document procedures, and ensure adherence to quality standards.

As an Endoscopy RN with Gastro Health, you will:

  • Assist the physicians to provide direct patient care for colonoscopy & endoscopy procedures
  • Completion of admission assessments
  • Monitor patients receiving IV moderate sedation
  • Oversee and participate in the preparation and flow of the procedure room
  • Preparation for discharging patients
  • Post-anesthesia care

Compensation and Benefits:

Candidate Requirements:

  • Current Ohio RN license (required)
  • Minimum 1 years of RN experience preferred, but new grads welcome
  • Recovery room experience a plus
  • IV skills are a plus
  • BLS and ACLS required

Full time/72 hours per pay Nights 7:00pm-7:30am Provides medical, surgical, oncology & telemetry nursing care for inpatient and observation patients. The unit is equipped with telemetry monitors. Patients receiving vasoactive and/or anti-arrhythmic medications requiring cardiac monitoring can be accommodated; if such medications require titration, patients will be moved to a higher level of care. Clinical specialties include, but are not limited to general medical, pulmonary, geriatrics, oncology, palliative care, and end-of-life care. The unit provides inpatient oncology nursing care specializing in chemotherapy administration, central access devices, complex post-operative nursing care, infusion services, and the management of immunosuppressed patients. There are 6 negative pressure rooms for patients requiring airborne isolation. Total capacity is 48 private rooms.
