At Nemours Children's Health, we see patients for primary care medical needs like well-child checkups, sick-child care and immunizations. Operating hours for this role are Tues, Wed and Thurs 11:00A to 8:00P and Alternate Saturdays 8:00am to 6pm and Monday or Friday 11:00am to 8:00pm.

Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware , a 220-bed facility located in Wilmington, serves as a Level IV NICU and the only Pediatric Level 1 Trauma Center in the state. For more than 80 years, its world-renowned care, education and research capabilities have healed hundreds of thousands of children and provided training for thousands of pediatric specialists across the U.S.
In 2023–24, U.S. News & World Report ranked the hospital in five pediatric specialties: cancer, cardiology and heart surgery, diabetes and endocrinology, gastroenterology and GI surgery and orthopedics.

Key Responsibilities
- Comprehensive patient assessments including history and physical examinations
- Formulating assessment and treatment plans of pediatric patients
- Communicating with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition
- Educating parents/caregivers on patient condition and plan of care
- Triaging and responding to phone calls from patient families
- Accurately recording patient information in the electronic medical record
- The NP must be able to work independently as well as part of multidisciplinary team.

- PNP: Active Delaware or compact state Registered Nurse Licensure, Active unrestricted Delaware or compact state Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner Licensure; DE Prescriptive Authority; DE Federal DEA; Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Certification via National Certification Center; BLS and NRP
- PA-C: Current unrestricted Physician Assistant License to practice in the state of Delaware or compact state; National Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants; DE Prescriptive Authority; DE Federal DEA; BLS and NRP
- Three years of related clinical experience required
- Excellent written, phone, and interpersonal communication skills required.
