PA/NP for Virtual Swingternist, Hospitalist Partners, part-time

Job Details ChristianaCare is currently looking for Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join ChristianaCare Hospitalist Partners (CCHP), a large and established hospital employed group of over 175 physicians and 40 advanced practice clinicians servicing 3 hospital campuses (1,300 beds) in Newark and Wilmington, DE and Elkton, MD in a part-time virtual swingternist role. The selected virtual swingternist candidate will provide remote clinical management to patients at the Newark and Wilmington campuses in Delaware and Union campus in Maryland with the support and collaboration from a hospitalist physician. This is a unique opportunity to practice in an acute care setting from your home! Cardiac Surgery Critical Care, NP/PA

Job Details ChristianaCare is currently recruiting for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for our Cardiac Surgery Critical Care team. This is a full-time position that promotes a work/life balance. Position consists of covering cardiac surgery ICU with rotating days, nights, and weekends; working six 12 hr shifts and one 8 hr shift. Responsibilities and duties for the cardiac surgery patient include: consultations, pre-operative assessments, post-op critical care, daily progress notes, occasional admissions and discharges removal of chest tubes/pacing wires/IABPs, and placement of central lines and arterial lines. The selected candidate will collaborate with trauma attendings and surgeons, neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, trauma hospitalists and a variety of other subspecialists in the care of trauma patients. Odessa/Middletown High School Based Health Center, NP/PA-Casual

Job Details ChristianaCare is hiring for a Casual Advanced Practice Clinician (Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to work in our School Based Health Centers at Odessa and Middletown High Schools 8 hours/week x 42 weeks. This position is available immediately through the end of the school year and will resume following summer break. The selected candidate provides physical examinations, health screenings, treatment for minor illnesses and injuries, immunizations, reproductive health , and health education to adolescent students and works closely with the school nurse to treat students and keep them in school. The APC works with a multidisciplinary staff at the center to address critical issues that teens face guiding them towards productive and healthy lives and in doing so improving the health of our communities. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides preventive and acute health care to the adolescent population. Maintains a collaborative agreement with the Medical Director and consults and refers as necessary. Demonstrates skills and knowledge necessary to assess, diagnose and treat an adolescent patient. Prescribes medications and treatments independently as credentialed by the Joint Practice Committee of Delaware Board of Medicine. Provides clinical screening for risk taking behavior and mental health issues and directs services as appropriate. Collaborates plan of care with the primary care provider as necessary. Provides care management for individual student as necessary. Sees 10 - 12 students per day when school is in session. Maintains medical records according to HIPPA guidelines and third-party billing guidelines.
