Seeking a PRN Hospice Nurse Practitioner in the Overland Park, KS and surrounding areas.

We are Medicare Certified and State Licensed.

Responsibilities

  • Complementing attending physician care
  • Acting as a medical resource person to the IDG
  • Performing Face-to-Face visits as needed.
  • Evaluating hospice eligibility as assigned in consultation with the hospice interdisciplinary team.
  • Assuring that the patient receives appropriate measures to control uncomfortable symptoms.

Requirements

  • Completed an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
  • Kansas or Compact nursing license.
  • Hospice or Long-Term Nursing experience.
  • Maintains controlled substances registration with state and federal authorities, if applicable.
  • Not excluded from the Medicare program.
  • Valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance.

Job Description​ This Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) position is a full time role located primarily at: St. Luke's North. 4x10 hour shifts, 7:30am-5:30pm. Variable day away schedule. The primary patient population is adult. There is a weekend and holiday commitment for this role. The employee will be responsible for the medical management of the Cardiology patient population within the scope of an Advanced Practice Provider. The term Advanced Practice Provider encompasses Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Clinical Nurse Specialists. The employee will have successfully completed a Master’s degree (or higher level of educational program) and have met the requirements for the respective State Board(s) (Missouri and Kansas). The APP will hold and maintain a national certification and licensure as required by State Boards and Saint Luke’s Health System, as well as other certification as obligatory for this role. Cardiology disease processes the APP will be expected to accurately diagnose and treat include general cardiology with a focus subspecialized patient populations as indicated.
