Located on the Torrey Pines Mesa near I-5 and Genesee Avenue in La Jolla, Scripps Green Hospital has served the greater San Diego community since 1977. We provide some of the region’s best care, including several nationally ranked specialty programs.

Scripps Green Hospital is attached to Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines. Together we offer dozens of medical and surgical services, including cancer care, orthopedic surgery and organ transplantation.

This is a Casual status also known as Per Diem OR RN position. The 8 hour shift is from 0645-15:15 on varied days and is located at La Jolla Green in Torrey Pines. There is also minimal varied call shifts. The minimum availability for this role is 8 shifts per 8 week schedule.

Scripps Green is a 173-bed hospital that has served the La Jolla and greater San Diego communities with distinction since 1977. Join Scripps Green Hospital Surgery Team, which operates in 12 OR suites and sees 900 cases a month. The ideal candidate for the position will have 1 or more years of OR experience, including, but not limited to Ortho (total Joints/LER- lower extremity reconstruction), General, Urology, Vascular, Spine, Plastics, ENT, Robotics, Neuro, Colorectal and Transplant. This is a busy and fast-paced environment which requires teamwork and cooperation to provide the highest level of patient care.

Responsibilities Include

Provide direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice.
Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes.
The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision.
Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Qualifications

One year of recent RN experience in the Operating Room (Circulating)
California Registered Nurse License
Current American Heart Association BLS provider certification
Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.

Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing
