The Respiratory Manager is responsible for the department’s continuous, effective operation. Daily operation should include continuous improvement of all activities. Partners with the physicians and staff to improve the quality of care using evidence based practice. The Manager must exhibit knowledge of the principles of growth and development from newborn to geriatric patient population. The Manager leads by example, role models the organizational behavior standards, demonstrates accountability and teamwork while motivating others. Responsible for continuous compliance with all regulatory standards including Title XXII, CIHQ, CMS, Medicare Conditions of Participation, College of American Pathologist (CAP), and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA).

Required Experience
Required:
- Bachelor of Science degree or in the process of obtaining
- Graduate of an approved AMA Accredited Respiratory Care Program
- Licensed RCP by State of California
- Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Therapy as an RRT
- Five years in respiratory therapy, to include emergency, critical and neonatal care
- Minimum of three years supervisory experience
- Exhibit skills and ability to accomplish computer operation
- Exhibit skills and ability to properly understand and operate electronic monitoring devices
- Competent to assess the appropriate care given to neonate, pediatric, adolescent or geriatric patients
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP required by the American Heart Association.
- Knowledge and understanding of Title XXII, CIHQ, CMS, Medicare Conditions of Participation, CAP, and CLIA regulatory standards.
- Experience and meets requirements for CLIA blood gas laboratory
