Job Description

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is dedicated to providing pediatric primary care services to infants, children and teens in our communities. We are here to support a child’s growth, development, and emotional needs, while helping prevent and treat illnesses and injuries – ultimately, keeping kids happy and healthy.

Children's is currently seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our new Primary Care office in the Adamsville area.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care at an advanced practice level to children and their families through assessment, communication, clinical management, collaboration, coordination, education, program development, research, quality, professional development, and system participation.

Job Responsibilities

Clinical

  • Provide comprehensive patient care management within a collaborative practice model for children of all ages under the supervision of the supervising/collaborating physician within the scope of practice outlined by state statute and Children’s bylaws in the inpatient and/or ambulatory settings. This includes:
  • Performing comprehensive histories and physical exams and identifying normal and abnormal findings, including physical, cognitive, and psychosocial status
  • Ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic tests
  • Developing pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical treatment plans

The Division of Hematology/Oncology at UAB Hospital is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a full-time night shift inpatient position on the Hematology/Oncology Specialty Unit. The position entails the evaluation and management of acutely ill hematology patients, performing procedures within the defined specialty scope of practice, and coordinating patient care from admission through discharge.
