Summary

Responsible for overall practice leadership, quality outcomes, care delivery, management and financial performance of the designated primary care practices(s). Works with senior leadership, physicians, co-workers and patients in a collaborative manner, assuring all policies, procedures and programs are compatible with goals and objectives of line of business

Education

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, Healthcare Administration or Business Management preferred.

Licensure/Certification

Clinical or nursing licensure a plus.

Experience

3-5 years in a leadership role in a healthcare environment, physician office preferred. Must be able to demonstrate experience related to leadership, finance, clinical operations, service excellence, and quality outcomes measurement.

Other Qualifications

Solid verbal and written communication skills required. Must be able to understand and evaluate both clinical and non-clinical roles of co-workers. Candidate will be expected to utilize LEAN methodologies for process improvement in each office while leading change and fostering care delivery under population health.

Outpatient Therapy Manager

Newport News, Virginia Overview Oversees the day to day clinical care provided by Physical, Occupational, and Speech services in their facility. Specific management tasks include: orientation and training of new employees; coordinating patient assignments, staff performance evaluations, interdisciplinary interaction, program planning, therapy hours productivity, and staffing issues. The Rehab Services Manager ensures that the highest standard of rehabilitation services are delivered and maintained. What you will do Demonstrates intermediate to advanced technical knowledge/clinical competencies in nursing as evidenced by the ability to assume a role in the provision of patient care as needed. Assures that unit policies and procedures are current and consistent with regulatory guidelines. Monitors for adherence to policies and procedures by use of audits, observations, and timely feedback. Sustains an environment of progressive and evidence-based nursing practice. Participates positively in hiring, oversight, training and support of all team members, volunteers and students to include positive acknowledgment and disciplinary action as appropriate. Completes accurate staff evaluations in a timely manner. Promotes satisfactory staff retention and is competent in labor relations matters. Seeks guidance from Director and HR in sensitive or complicated matters.
