Position Summary
The Program Director provides strategic and operational leadership for inpatient and/or residential programs. This leader is responsible for developing efficient, high-performing systems that ensure:
Quality clinical care
Staff development and accountability
Medical records integrity
Regulatory compliance
A strong and sustainable culture of safety
This role ensures that facilities meet or exceed standards set by:
The Joint Commission (TJC)
Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS)
Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)
All other applicable accrediting and regulatory bodies

Essential Responsibilities
This leader will:
Provide respectful and inclusive leadership across all demographics and identities
Ensure accurate and timely documentation across programs
Oversee quality assurance processes and integrate findings into operations
Manage licensing requirements, audits, and regulatory reviews
Lead responses to KDADS, CMS, and TJC investigations
Oversee grant application processes and required reporting
Manage contracts and vendor relationships
Research and oversee site purchases for quality and cost efficiency
Participate in vendor negotiations as needed
Coordinate cross-departmental communication and operational processes
Chair the Safety Management Committee
Maintain administrative oversight of building, grounds, equipment, and supplies
Monitor training compliance and medical record standards
Develop and implement corrective action plans when necessary
Oversee staff development, including orientation and mandated training
Provide on-call crisis leadership as part of the site leadership team
Represent Camber and KVC in community forums
Review and approve financial expenditures for accounts payable
Ensure provision of necessary resources to maintain safe, compliant operations
Education
Master’s degree preferred
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required
Equivalent experience may be considered where appropriate.
Licensure / Certification
Valid driver’s license
Current auto insurance
Experience
Two or more years of related leadership experience
Equivalent combination of education and professional experience may be considered
Preferred Skills
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong organizational leadership and regulatory knowledge
Experience with inpatient or residential behavioral health programs
Demonstrated ability to lead quality improvement initiatives
