As a Professional Staff Nurse in the OR, you will:
- Deliver safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care using the nursing process and Relationship-Based Care model
- Develop and implement individualized care plans with patients and families as active partners
- Serve as a clinical leader and collaborative team member in the surgical setting
- Communicate patient conditions clearly and effectively across the care team
- Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives
- Support patient and family education throughout the surgical experience and transition of care
- Serve as a preceptor or mentor to students and new staff (as applicable)
- Perform the scrub role (required for RNs hired on or after July 1, 2023)
- Maintain professional accountability, cultural awareness, and a safe work environment
- RN with 0–2 years of experience (BSN preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex surgical environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Physical stamina for standing, walking, lifting, and positioning patients
Licensure & Certifications
- Current RN license (state-specific or multistate Nursing Licensure Compact)
- BLS/CPR (AHA-compliant) within 30 days of hire
- RN or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP)
- Act 34 Clearance
- National certification preferred
