· Provide expert nursing care, performing assessments and developing individualized treatment plans.

· Administer medications, IV therapies and treatments with precision and adherence to physician orders.

· Lead and coordinate care by supervising LPNs and unlicensed assistive personnel.

· Identify and mitigate safety risks, ensuring a secure and supportive patient environment.

· Play an active role in quality improvement initiatives and the implementation of best practices.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

· Deliver direct patient care in accordance with hospital policies and clinical standards.

· Ensure compliance with safety protocols, infection control guidelines and regulatory requirements.

· Support patient and family education to promote informed healthcare decisions.

· Assist in onboarding and training new nurses and students.

· Participate in professional development, continuing education and hospital-wide quality initiatives.

· Current RN license in Illinois required

· BLS certification required within 30 days of hire

o Clinical Nurse I: 0-12 credits, BSN preferred

o Clinical Nurse II: 13-24 credits with evidence of performance across two categories, BSN preferred

Overview The Registered Nurse-Surgery will be responsible for delegation, supervision, and provision of evidence-based nursing care for a designated group of patients through utilization of the nursing process. Provides age appropriate patient care. Implements evidence-based findings into practice and participates in research as appropriate. Responsibilities Works within the context of the surgical team to provide care to individuals before, during and after a surgical procedure.
