About the Role:
The Medical Assistant Registered plays a critical role in supporting healthcare providers by delivering high-quality clinical and administrative assistance in a medical setting. This position ensures the smooth operation of patient care activities by preparing patients for examinations, recording vital signs, and assisting with medical procedures. The Medical Assistant Registered acts as a liaison between patients and healthcare professionals, facilitating effective communication and ensuring patient comfort and safety. This role requires adherence to healthcare regulations and protocols to maintain a safe and compliant environment. Ultimately, the Medical Assistant Registered contributes significantly to the overall patient experience and the efficiency of the healthcare team. This position is for the Orthopedic and Podiatric clinic.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain and record vital signs and patient histories.
- Knowledge of basic clinical procedures and infection control practices.
- Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
- Experience working in a medical office setting.
- Registration through the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs, medical histories, and recording symptoms.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and minor procedures by handling instruments and supplies.
- Administer medications or injections as directed by a physician or nurse, following proper protocols.
- Prepare, clean, and stock exam and procedure rooms; maintain infection control standards.
- Communicate test results, follow-up instructions, and patient education per provider direction.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards within the clinical environment.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records.

They communicate clearly and professionally, listen attentively to patients and team members, and use sound judgment when prioritizing care.
