Short Description
Consistently demonstrates the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care of all patients based on patients’ specific age group. Anticipates patient needs and consistently resolves patient concerns. Evaluates and reassesses interventions over time to assure best outcomes for the cardiac, pulmonary and SET (PAD) patients.
Plans and implements non-standardized nursing interventions, specifically individual exercise programs in accordance with AACVPR/AHA guidelines and physician recommendations. Always uses a pro-active approach to patient care to meet and exceed patient and family needs. Anticipates and responds effectively to changing patient conditions. Demonstrates effective teaching skills and always engages patient and family. Consistently assesses patient and family learning needs during program.
Evaluates and effectiveness of teaching and revises appropriately.
Documents all teaching, including patient/family response. Consistently advocates for the well-being of the patient. Assures patient care is delivered according to Safety Guidelines and Universal Precautions Practices. Serves a role model for performing, teaching and reeducating others on patient safety. Maintains/develops competencies associated with rehab nursing and behavior modification and risk factor reduction.
Recognizes the importance of delivering the highest standards in service, quality and patient customer satisfaction.
Experience Required
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self.

Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors.
Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff, management, and physicians.

Education Requirements
Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing.
License/Certification Requirements
Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse).
Current American Heart Association, (AHA) BLS CPR (Basic Life Support) Certification required.
