Job Summary:

Accountable for the management of patients with wound, ostomy and/or continence needs. Provides direct inpatient and virtual patient care and education by serving in the role as clinician, consultant, educator and researcher. Provides leadership and direction for coordination and improvement of WOC care within the Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin including development of policies and procedures, guidelines, standards of care and research. Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

Recent and substantial experience as an expert clinician and educator is required. Experience as a Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON) is preferred.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required. Master’s Degree preferred.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

Current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact) is required. Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse or Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse certification is required within 12 months of hire or transfer into the position.
