Job Summary

This role is an active member of the clinic leadership and physician team responsible for clinic operations in support of the delivery of care, standards of clinical practice, established policies and regulatory agencies. Manages performance of staff which could include clinical and lab through competency assessment, training and feedback. Partners with the practice manager on achievement of business and financial goals of the practice. Successfully demonstrates the three organizational leadership competencies of: building effective teams; process management and prioritization.

**The general hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 8a-5p CST.


Essential Functions

  • Monitors and evaluates overall office operations to ensure efficiency including, but not limited to collaborative staffing , billing, patient records, telecommunications, patient referrals, MyChart, etc. Initiates clinical and operation improvement opportunities.
  • Monitors and evaluates clinical operations to ensure efficiency including, but not limited to nurse equipment, vaccine inventory and safe handling, scheduling, compliance with proficiency testing, etc. Initiates clinical and operation improvement opportunities.
  • Ensures accurate and effective communication of information between Primary Care leadership and clinic staff.
  • Collaborates with Primary Care Practice Manager to effectively provide performance feedback to all assigned staff, per CHW policies, and on an ongoing basis, to build an effective team through achievement of staff development and staff satisfaction.
  • Coordinates the scheduling of work, paid time away, etc. for assigned employees to assure that patient care and office duties are completed to maintain an orderly and efficiently run office routine. Reviews ATS for verification of hours worked.
  • Works collaboratively with physicians to implement improvements within the practice to ensure a high caliber of patient care and services. Runs and analyzes report data as needed for compliance with quality initiatives and for operational decision support.
  • Contributes to developing and attaining long range objectives for Primary Care including but not limited to financial goals, operations improvement, quality improvement, resource utilization and clinical practice enhancements.
  • Recruits, hires, trains and develops clinical staff in conjunction with Human Resources and the Practice Manager. Provides and creates an awareness of professional activities available for staff development.
  • Participates in the preparation of detailed operating budget projections for staff, supplies and equipment. Participates in the analysis of financial data to determine problem areas, potential savings and ways to reduce operating costs and maximizing charge capture.
  • Participates in the development of business plans and goals.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree baccalaureate program in nursing or a BSN completion program with an anticipated graduation date within a time frame to be agreed upon, not to exceed 4 years from hire date required

Experience

  • 2+ years outpatient clinical experience with preference in Pediatrics required and
  • 1+ years supervisory or other leadership experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency with the use of personal computers and an electronic medical record.
  • Good organizational and patient relation skills. Ability to manage a fast-paced patient load while paying attention to detail.
  • High level of communication skills necessary for assessment of patient concerns and processing referrals for appropriate medical care.
  • Ability to read, interpret and enact policies and procedures.
  • Ability to stand and walk approximately 75% of the work time.

Licenses and Certifications

  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council required

We are looking for an RN Weekend Supervisor to care for our patients and facilitate their speedy recovery. You will also be responsible for educating them and their families on prevention and healthy habits. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best nursing care with little supervision. You will be able to follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently. The goal is to-promote patient’s being-by providing high quality nursing care. Responsibilities: RN Weekend Supervisor Assist in ensuring quality nursing care to all residents/patients. Supports and practices the philosophy, nursing objectives and standards of the Department of Nursing. Ensures that the nursing department is adequately staffed to provide quality care to patients/residents. Ensures the provision of in-service/staff development programs that contribute to meeting nursing objectives and standards and comply with all state and federal regulations. Provides clinical expertise to facilitate and support the nursing process in patient/ resident interventions. Assists in ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for patients/residents, employees and visitors. Exercises administrative and functional supervision over nursing personnel as directed by the Director of Nursing and Assistant DON.
