Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $84.78 - $109.85 (Hourly Rate).

Department Description
The Surgical / Oncology unit cares for a variety of oncology and surgical patients including those with urological, gynecological, colorectal, head and neck, liver and pancreatic diseases. Complex wound care, ostomy care and tracheotomy care make patient education a priority for both the patients and their caregivers after discharge. Multiple opportunities exist for nurses to coordinate innovative treatment modalities for the oncology patient population on this unit. Nurses work in an area where a dynamic, interdisciplinary, supportive and healing approach is the focus. This unit provides the opportunity to work in a cutting edge environment were excellent care can be provided in a patient and family focused setting. Chemotherapy certification is available and is required for the staff who administer chemotherapy.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent RN clinical experience in an Adult Medical/Surgical acute care unit (within the past two years)
- Active Registered Nurse licensure in the state of California
- American Heart Association CPR certification
- This position requires flexibility to work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
- Previous Experience with surgical oncology patients
- Previous wound care experience/ostomy experience
- BSN
- RN Experience in an academic medical center
- ONS qualified to administer chemotherapy.
- Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
- Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
