Job Summary:

  • Provides basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients within scope of practice.
  • Addresses both psychosocial and physical needs of patients.
  • Communicates effectively to meet patient needs.
  • Demonstrates initiative and responsibility in patient care.
  • Assists with patient admission, transfer, and discharge.
  • Delivers age-appropriate care, considering patient condition.
  • Alerts licensed personnel when patients report pain.
  • Reports changes in patient status to RN.

    Qualifications:

    • High School diploma or the equivalent.
    • CNA licensure in the State of Texas. 
    • BLS required.
    • Successful completion of certified nursing assistant program.
    • Minimum 6 months to 1 year of related work experience preferred.
