Key Roles and Responsibilities: Reports to the AVP Behavioral Health Nursing and closely collaborates with PHBH Nurse Leaders (NMs, supervisors). Manages nursing staff (RNs and ancillary personnel) on a 28-bed inpatient psychiatric unit with fiscal accountability. Assures 24-hour quality care for patients on their unit; Assures compliance with policies, procedures, regulation; maintains a therapeutic treatment environment Assumes supervisory coverage during the day, one week each month, for the facility. Responsible for interviewing and hiring staff for the unit and completes introductory and annual staff performance appraisals.
