OB/GYN Associates of South Jersey is hiring a Nurse Practitioner, experienced in Ob/Gyn, to work full-time (M-F). No weekends!
Locations in Voorhees and Washington Township
The Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive, specialized care to women across the lifespan, focusing on reproductive health, gynecological issues, family planning, and wellness promotion.
- Practices under the standard procedure established for the Nurse Practitioner role consistent with company policy and in accordance with all legal requirements.
- Conducts age-appropriate assessments of patients, including history taking and physical examination consistent with department protocol.
- Performs routine physical examinations within scope of practice, including pelvic examinations, breast examinations, PAP tests, and any relevant infection screenings. Performs IUD and Nexplanon insertions/removals, Endometrial Biopsies, works with Pessaries - education & maintenance; may perform Colposcopies.
- Provides education on women’s issues, preventative care, contraceptive methods, and lifestyle modifications.
- Orders diagnostic tests and prescribes medications within scope of practice.
- Provides expert, compassionate care for women during the menopausal transition (perimenopause, menopause, postmenopausal) by managing symptoms like hot flashes, mood swings, and sleep issues, educating patients on treatment options (hormonal/non-hormonal), offering lifestyle advice (diet, exercise, supplements), and supporting overall well-being with evidence-based care.
- Confers with patients in person and by phone/electronically, collaborates with others in the department to ensure a smooth flow of patient care consistent with established quality indicators and participates in the overall coordination of patient care.
- Performs assessment/data collection in an ongoing systematic manner, focusing on physiological, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual and cognitive status, patient/family education, family involvement, and patient advocacy.
- Consults with supervising physicians or other clinicians as dictated by patient need and assessment findings.
- Participates with physicians and other clinicians in the department to ensure effective patient care consistent with quality indicators for patients cared for in the designated service.
- Reviews medical record for follow up or ordering of diagnostic studies under established protocols.
- Establishes effective working relationships with members of the health care team, patients, and families.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and applies safety principles as identified by the practice.
- Performs efficiently in emergency situations following established protocols, remaining calm, informing appropriate people, and documenting events.
- Demonstrates knowledge of legal issues, including patient confidentiality and risk management in all aspects of patient care and unit functioning.
- Demonstrates a service philosophy in all interactions with patients, families, and all members of the health care team.
- Demonstrates proficiency in the use of computers and telecommunication modalities to document, track and convey information.

Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of healthcare principles, including anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and pathophysiology.
- Ability to analyze complex situations, make sound clinical judgments, and adapt treatment plans as necessary.
- Effective communication with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. Ability to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and procedures clearly and empathetically.
- Strong computer proficiency and understanding and knowledge of EHR and healthcare technologies.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Willingness to pursue continuing education and stay updated on advances in Women’s Health.
- Must be able to work at each practice location as scheduled.
Required Education & Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MS, MSN, or DNP); with focus on Women’s Health highly preferred.
- Board certification in WHNP, FNP, ANP, or similar.
- Current unrestricted state Nurse Practitioner license, Controlled Substance Registration (where applicable), and DEA, or ability to obtain licensure.
- 1-2 years’ Women’s Health experience preferred; willing to train new graduates
- Experience with eClinicalWorks a plus.

Pay or shift range: $90,000 USD to $130,000
The posted salary range is a good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this role. However, final offers may fall outside this range based on experience, skill set, experience, location, hours, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
