RN - Pacer (Full Time)

Job Details Description Position Summary: In collaboration with the department manager, coordinate the pacemaker clinic, to include interrogation of implantable devices in the ambulatory care setting, during hospital stay and device implants; patient education, device interrogation, wound management, remote device monitoring/interpretation, and follow-up; participate in research and cross train in the EP Laboratory. Experience: 1 to 3 years cardiac/Critical Care nursing experience required. Cath lab or EPS lab experience preferred. Education: Minimum Associates Degree in Nursing with valid NJ RN Licensure required. Other Required License/Credentials/Skills: ACLS and BLS, IV certification, arrhythmia certification required. RCES preferred. Bi-Weekly Hours : 60 Work Schedule : M - F The minimum starting rate for this position is $40.67 When determining a team members base rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., years of recent relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity). Job Details Description Position Summary: Utilizes the nursing process to provide and direct primary nursing care to patients with cardiovascular/pulmonary/vascular health deficits, in whom outcomes may be unpredictable to perform comprehensive assessment, planning, intervention and/or evaluation of complex multisystem health care deficits; to direct the nursing care of unstable patients or patients requiring complex care management. Handles multiple demands and tasks simultaneously, demonstrating clinical problem solving skills. Is supported by the nurse manager, assistant nurse manager and charge nurse in assuming unit leadership roles including, but not limited to, serving as the Charge Nurse, committee leadership and/or involvement, conducting unit orientation and education; directs and guides the use of resources for patient care. Experience Preferred: 1-3 years related nursing experience. Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation, IV Therapy Certification, Hemodynamics, and Mock Code Work shop within 90 days of hire or promotion -or- at the first available course offering Education Required: Graduate of accredited diploma, associate degree or baccalaureate degree nursing program. Job Details Description Performs direct and non-direct patient care duties as assigned under the supervision of a Registered Nurse / Nurse manager. Experience: 1-3 years experience as nursing assistant or related healthcare experience preferred Education: high school graduate or GED. Required License / Credentials: Nurses Aide Certification preferred or 3 years’ experience in acute care or a current nursing student with one year of clinical training.
