Responsibilities

The Vines Hospital is currently recruiting for PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Nursing Department

 

The Nurse is responsible for the delivery of quality nursing care for all patients on the Adolescent Unit.  The Nurse coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. The Nurse must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served. The Nurse is in charge of the unit activities for each shift.  The Nurse supervises the Lead Mental Health Techs and Mental Health Techs working on the unit, administers prescribed medications and provides medication and other educational groups.

We are located in picturesque Marion County, FL. The county is known as the Horse Capital of the World. Hours: This position is a PRN status role (as needed basis).A PRN staff member in order to remain active, they must work at least three (3) twelve hour shifts per month, one of which must be a weekend shift. Avaliable shifts are; Days 7am - 7pm or Nights 7pm - 7am.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Nursing required. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Active FL State license as RN or Compact State license
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • One (1) year experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting with patients aged 18-65 yrs+ preferred
