RN Unit Manager

Cortlandt is seeking for an RN Unit Manager to join their growning team.

RN Unit Manager Job Description:

  • Day to Day Supervision of Licensed and Non-Licensed staff, including counseling/disciplinary action, evaluations, one-to-one in-service, suspension/terminations
  • Maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the nursing unit; including paper compliance, reports, and EMR monitoring
  • Develop methods for coordination of nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of care
  • Must make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must be able to appropriately communicate with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and governmental agencies/personnel.
  • Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to Post-Acute & long-term care.
  • Leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.

RN Unit Manager Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school. 
  • Must have a current RN and unencumbered license for the state of practice.
  • 1years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related healthcare facility preferred
  • Must be reliable and able to accommodate a flexible schedule to include evenings, nights, and weekend work hours when necessary.

Salary Range:  up to $110,000 a year

Based on Experience (Salaried Position)
