UW Medical Center-Northwest - Breast Surgery Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a Per Diem Registered Nurse.
WORK SCHEDULE
- Per diem schedule / variable hours per week
- Must be available to work day shifts from 7:30am-4:00pm
- Must be available to work at least 8 shifts each 4 week period
- Must be available to work Wednesdays and Thursdays
- Must be available and willing to cover occasional vacations for our RN team
Department Description
Our Breast Surgery Clinic at Meridian Pavilion offers thorough and concise evaluations of breast abnormalities and screening plans for people at higher-than-average risk for breast cancer. We offer personalized treatment plans based on the type and stage of the disease, genetics, and life circumstances. Our care team consists of nationally recognized healthcare professionals with extensive clinical knowledge and surgical expertise.

Primary Job Responsibilities
- Work in partnership with 4 Breast Surgeons and 1 Advanced Practice Practitioner
- Support patients requiring surgical intervention, including patients with breast cancer and patients with benign breast issues
- Provide care across the pre- and post-surgical continuum
- Provide detailed patient education based on the individualized surgical plan
- Regularly perform wound care, drain pulls, and suture removals
- Assist our providers with minor procedures, including excisions
- Act as the primary responder to patient phone calls and messages requiring triage
Requirements
- 2 years of recent nursing experience with surgical patients
- Active BLS
- Active licensure to work as a Registered Nurse in Washington State

BSN (or higher) premium - $1.00/hour Certification premium - $1.25/hour Overtime pay
