Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting under supervision of a registered nurse and work collaboratively with ancillary nursing and other members of the interdisciplinary team.  The LPN will effectively communicate changes in patient status, symptoms, and results of diagnostic tests to appropriate care team members and be able to recognize and respond to changes in condition of patients. The LPN will utilize the nursing process in the provision of care and will practice within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and the policies, procedures, and standards of the Health System. The LPN will demonstrate a commitment to teamwork through effective collaboration efforts.

Qualifications

PRE-HIRE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse with current, active license to practice in Arkansas, required
  • Minimum one (1) year experience within a hospital setting preferred
  • Proof of high school or equivalent or higher education
  • Basic keyboarding skills, preferred
