Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) will assume responsibility and accountability in providing care for patients received in the Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology. The Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology RN works closely with cardiology, vascular-surgery and interventional radiology physicians. Typical producers include cardiac catheterization, kyphoplasty, leadless pacemaker placement and much more. The RN is responsible for assessing the patient during the procedures and while the patient in under moderate sedation. The RN will utilize the nursing process in the provision of care and will practice within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and adhere to policies, procedures, and standards of Conway Regional Medical Center. Qualifications • Registered Nurse with current active Arkansas License • BSN preferred • If less than one year experience as a Registered Nurse, must obtain a BSN degree within 4 years of hire. • Certification Preferred • Completion of moderate sedation competency per CRMC policy • Proof of high school or equivalent or higher education • Successful completion of American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) during orientation • Successful completion of Cardiac Dysrhythmia interpretation class within 3 months of employment • Experience in Interventional radiology and/or Cardiac Cath lab preferred • Knowledge of Joint Commission and Arkansas Department of Health requirements preferred • Must be able to take call as assigned Other education and experience may be substituted (if applicable) for the required minimum job qualifications with the approval of the Corporate Director of Human Resources.
Overview 3 South is an 18 bed-unit in which the Registered Nurse (RN) provides care for patients admitted for general cardiac diagnoses as well as sepsis, COPD, pneumonia, and stroke. The RN also cares for patients requiring antiarrhythmic non-titrated drips. The patient population served tends to have multiple diagnoses requiring the RN to work closely with all of our Cardiologists as well as our Hospitalists to provide comprehensive care. Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Critical Care Unit (CCU) will assume responsibility and accountability for the adult and geriatric patients undergoing continuous monitoring for cardiac, post-surgical, respiratory, and/or psychiatric diagnoses. The CCU RN will often be active participants in bedside procedures with physicians. He/She will be responsible for certain specialty equipment and procedures such as managing arterial lines, ventilators, hypothermia protocol, and performing peritoneal dialysis. As a CCU RN, he/she will be part of the Rapid Response Team and will assist hospital staff in assessing, treating and transferring (if needed) deteriorating patients to the appropriate unit. He/She will provide appropriate care and comfort needs for the well-being of the patients by assessing, administering medications as ordered and educating patients and family members about active treatment plans and goals.
