Work hours: Full Time – 40 Hours; Evenings; 11:00am – 9:30pm (10-hour shifts) four shifts per week; On call shift requirements- 2 on call weekend shifts per 6-week schedule is required.

PACU Highlights
- Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team
- Fast-Paced, high-volume department
- The professional nurse exhibits an understanding of basic human needs.
- The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of the patient’s affiliations.
- Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program Or Diploma Nurse Program
- BSN preferred
- Two-years of experience as a registered nurse in PACU, ICU, Telemetry or Surgical inpatient preferred
- RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req And
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req And
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req And
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Upon Hire Pref And
- ONS - Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certificate Upon Hire Pref
- Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other’s need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers.
